I have three machines: a PI running SmoothWall 2.0 for a gateway, a PII running RH8 as my file/db/web server and my Athlon running XP as my workstation. I finally decided to get rid of the PI to gain space and at the same time give Mdk9.1 a try. I installed Mdk9.1 on the PII and everything was fine until I used drakgw to share my internet connection. It did that just fine: it did the dhcp and forwarding so my XP machine could surf the net but nowI can't access the server. It set up the PII local nic as 192.168.1.1 and my XP has 192.168.1.1 as gateway/dns/etc. but I can't ping 192.168.1.1 from XP (destination unreachable) so now I can't access apache/mysql/smb/etc. on my PII server. I've been playing around but I can't get it to work.

Any ideas? I've been thinking about ditching the connection sharing thing (drakgw) and getting either a nice iptables tutorial or a package (with a gui if possible) that would do the trick nicely. Any recomendations?
