The last time I was playing around with UW IMAP I was able to use client prefixes to point to different locations and never had any problems with it. The reason I disliked that solution is because it adds an extra step to configuration which my users probably are not aware of, and if not then like Hans said, it shows all the files in your home directory as possible mailboxes.

You're all confused. The point is that the INBOX folder can't be relocated. Everything else can, but not INBOX (w/ uw-imap).
