Tools? No. Troubleshooting help? Sure. First off, when you say that "the machine is back to failing to boot" are you saying that there actually /was/ a time when it would boot with the new Maxtor hdd? If so, were you able to fully install an OS, boot into it and work with it? When you say "fail to boot" what exactly do you mean? Are you seeing any error messages on your screen (OS errors or BIOS errors)? Any lights on the computer (not the monitor)? Any noise (hdd spin-up or fans) from the computer?
