I'm sorry but to me it sounds like your hard drive is flat lining. It is dead, give up. Just kidding, it does however sound like there are a couple of bad sectors in your hard drive. I would suggest trying to find a boot disk that will enable you to scan your hard drive. If you have bad sectors there not much you can do.
