[uug] domain registrar

What do you all consider the best way to register a domain and best 
domain registrar to use?    (Best = Flexibilty/Price/Etc.)  I am not 
ready/haven't decided about how to host the site I want, but I would 
like to secure the domain name now.  I've seen comments on the list 
about some registrars including name servers and others not, and some 
allowing you to point directly to your server and others requiring you 
to point to a name server.  I don't know enough about name servers and 
domain registrars to have a preference.  What do you all suggest?
