If you have a TV capture card then you may be interested in looking into
programs like mythTV or Freevo, they are fantastic.  It you want to see
if it works ok, Myth has a small distro called knopmyth that is a
remastered knoppix with the myth TV stuff preloaded.  I've nevered
played with it(knopmyth) but the communities have a lot of chatter about
it.
