/me points at Locke's social contract.

To join any society, one must give up some rights. While it's not
always fun to give up rights, you make a decision as to whether you'd
rather be in that society, or have those rights.

When you give up a right to join a community, you no longer have that
right until you leave the community. If there is a reason why you are
prohibited from leaving the community (examples in many countries of
the world, most notably North Korea), then you have every reason to
complain about being unfairly treated, or having rights taken away
from you. If you have the rights/ability to leave the community, and
yet you stay, then you must be willing to accept the limitation of
rights.

There is always the option to try to change the current system,
however you have to realize that you do not have a *right* to whatever
you are trying to get.
