First of all, I must say that I'm a Python programmer on backend and
JS on frontent.

Dart advantages:

* Scripting language. No need to waste time on a compilation ...

* The high level of abstraction. There is no need to worry about
memory management, etc..

* At the moment no one focus over performance, and already is quite
fast. I suppose it will be faster than Python.

* Support for multiple processors and their isolation at the level of
language.
http://www.dartlang.org/docs/library-tour/#dartisolate---concurrency-with-isolates

* It will be supported on the backend in the frontend. One language
for the entire web application is very good.

* Debugging is much faster and easier than in Python and JS. for
example, can create explicit interfaces.

* Google support is IMHO a big plus. They have very good programmers,
a lot of resources and the ability to popularize the language, which
will translate into its wider use, more developers, jobs, etc.

At Google IO 2012 was an indication that some frontent and backend is
being tested by Google to their own infrastructure and plan to go with
Python, GWT(Java), JS to Dart + HTML5.

On the Dart is the SDK and editor. You can download and install in minutes.
As for the comparison to Python. I see many similarities, the language
is simple, consistent and predictable.
Optional types are amazing benefits.
Of course, ignoring the lack of libraries - at this stage is obvious.

This is obviously very early predictions, but I suppose that when
language spread the wing will be able to safely compete or replace the
current most popular scripting languages. At least for me in a few
years the language has a chance to replace the Python.

To JS I will not even compared. Light years difference in favor of
Dart. This incredible support for DOM and HTML, jQuery is simply
unnecessary. I recommend to write each larger JS in Dart and compile
with dart2js. Cool fun to learn a new language.

Of course, language is not perfect and not for everything ... but try
to find disadvantages themselves :]

Generally speaking, I see many advantages in the same language (mostly
similar to Python). I like his development plans announced by the
authors ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsGgfUreyZw ). In my eyes,
has a chance to replace my Python and JS for the better.

For dessert eg.

Python3:
for x in [1,2,3]: print('my value is %s'%x)

Dart:
[1,2,3].forEach((el) => print('my value is $el'));

I hope my explanation helped.
