In preparing to do my Furbur Fix, I have found that my top triple crown
has rusted/galled to the threads of the steering head and/or the washer
below. I have been spraying it with penetrating oil, heating it with a
propane torch, and giving it light taps with a deadblow hammer for the
past couple of days with no luck. I'm leary of getting out the Mapp gas
or the big torch on this aluminum piece. Any help is appreciated.
