Thanks for the ideas. I picked up a 1/2 ton Cable hoist (Mini Mule) from
sears for ~$40. I thought it sucked. I ended up putting in it the center
stand and using the Mule to jack up the front. Paul, you must be more of a
man than I. It took some pullin' to get the wheel off the ground. I think
part of it was b/c of the tension in the cable making the cable get wedged
between the rest of the wrapped up cable on the pulley. But it worked!! I
found some 1 ton chain hoists at harbor freight for the same price. They
look stronger.
Anyhow, I replaced my purple panels with black tonight. Yamaha is so
cheap that they won't put a YAMAHA sticker on the rear fender (i can tolerate
the hardware). Other problem was that I couldn't get the middle (little
10mm) bolt to line up anywhere close. The hole ended up being about 1/2"
behind and 1/4" to the side!! I got too tired of messing with it cuz it
struck midnight. But, IT DOES LOOK GOOD!
Oh yeah, my local Sears sold 10 of the 12 Metrinch Sets in ONE DAY! I
used them tonight and I really like them. They torqued my front wheel up to
36 ft-lbs just fine w/ no rounding on anything.
Better quick jibbering, this is a tech list...
