They are....but what happens is that the chain hoist circle gets in the way while
you use it and scratches and hooks all over the bike. When a "cherry picker" is
unavailable I have pulled many a motor out of a car with a cable hoist hung from
the rafters...never a problem but they are a one ton unit.
