I have a question for those of you who have Hindles: do you have any
problems with heat from the headers on the rear cylinders?
Saturday, after my Max had idled for a couple of minutes, smoke started
drifting up from one of the rear headers. I found that the plastic
shield that hangs down behind the rear two cylinders had gotten hot
enough to melt and drip melted plastic onto one of the headers.
On further inspection, I found that the plastic battery case also had a
melted spot where it's closest to the headers.
I've made a sheet metal shield that fits under the battery case and
curves up between the headers and the plastic parts--no major harm
done. But I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem?
