If you have a stock airbox ,remove the tee piece and install a K_N
aftermarket filter.Stage 7 instructions say to use the DJ165 jets and the
DJ175 and DJ190 are for extensive engine work. The catchy throttle cable
sounds dangerous, does it move the linkage when you turn the handlebars back
and forth? Maybe it would be a good idea to remove the airbox and check
cable routing.Whoever installed the stage 7 may have screwed up.Usually slip
on mufflers result in a power decrease because the stock muffler collector
is necessary for performance. All they do is make more noise. To get the best
results from stage 7 you need a Kerker complete exhaust system around $700
now.The stock system is double wall and is not enough inside diameter to
flow enough exhaust.I have a modified stock system with no internal baffles
and it easily outperforms F-1 and Supertrapp slipons as well as stock
pipes. All the choke plungers should close the same.
