Campbell, I've been giving your post some serious thought. I bought this Vmax knowing full well she'd surprise me and I wouldn't get her roadworthy without investing lots of time, effort, energy, and cash. But the journey from sow's ear to silk purse will be very educational for me. I'll learn everything about this bike before it's over and one day I'll be answering newbie questions instead of asking them. Besides, she'll be the baddest '85 Vmax around <S>. I'll bid on Ben's bike nonetheless - it can't hurt. I've already contacted him. Thanks for the tip. However .. it sounds like you are still in trouble for a lot of parts .... I was looking at Ben's '91, (with the front end damage), on EBay ... This bike looks "good" ... have you considered picking up a donor bike ?? It appears this bike is still running well under $1500 bucks and has a good engine w/ 14K ... You might pick up a good engine for re-sale here, (to offset your expense), and obtain all the parts you need in the bargain ... just a thought ..... campbell Ben wrote: If you guys are interested I have v-max 1991 for sale go and check e-bay item number 273148212 . I were in an accident about 1 month ago fork not so straight anymore, it has 14000 miles, motor starts and runs fine, any questions e-mail me [EMAIL PROTECTED] I can send more pictures and details if anybody needs them.
