Thanks for the email address for Egli re: the 3.2 gal tank. Beatrice Egli
responded to my questions with a brief overview and the intention to mail me
their catalog (in German) so I can see the pictures. However, she gave me a
price of 1,825 Swiss Francs which (using 0.5983 conversion factor) means this
tank costs $1091.90 US dollars. More than I expected but I'm still
interested/considering.
The stock tank at 3.8 gal. + my own 4 gal. fuel cell, plus Egli's 3.2
gal. would give me 11 gal.of gas on board--in a nice weight distribution--for
a 330 mile range.
However, did you pay custom duty, import tax, excise tax, or whatever in
addition to the Egli price? I'm new at the European parts import game &
would appreciate any further insights you (or anybody else) has into this
aspect. Thanks much if you can help
