Hey guys. The bicon for the vmax is 199 pounds, which equals to $312.00. A
while back I was asked by a U.S bicon distributor to test their bicon on a
vmax. The problem was it wouldn't work with a 4 coil system. I sent that one
back with the vmax diagram and told them they would have to make a bicon
just for the vmax which uses 4 coils. They said they would, that was the
last I heard from them.
Now. what does the bicon do:
1). You splice the bicon between the stock ignition box and coils. What the
bicon does is lets you program a timing chart using the stock ignition box
timing out put as the base line. You either advance the timing through out
the RPM band or you retard the timing through out the RPM timing band. The
bicon takes the signals from the stock ignition box, then recalculates the
timing based on the settings you installed into the bicon. The bicon then
releases the new ignition timing curve to your coils. You are given a
program card which allows you to make any timing graph you want. You then
plug your bicon to your computer or lap top PC. You then down load the new
program into the bicon. You can reprogram the bicon as many times as times
you want (test and tune).
This gives you a totally programmable ignition system. The only draw back is
you still have the stock ignition box?
Take care
