As you found out the MSD S light is not waterproof and the board is not sealed or coated,as TC said contact cleaner and a toothbrush a scrub the board on both sides, the let it dry out for a few days, the try again if it flashes it check circuit your ok. now before reassembling go down to a electronics supply store a buy a can of Conformal coating (spray can) and spray both sides let cure and board will be waterproof also drill a couple of small holes in the case for drainage, also clean and spray LED board, next option is to delete LED board and use a light instead and relocate the circuit board elsewhere which is what I did. if interested on how to do it ,let me know.
