Rick,
I don't want to disappoint you, but my Oval canisters are "dual", one on each side and
yes, they do have the strap.
It's easy to get rid of it and I will, but they are designed for racing and they can
be removed in a minute just removing the strap fix ( one bolt and taking off the two
retaining springs holding the canister to the header).

I am no racer so I intend to fix the canister to the header set and fix the canister
to the original V-max fixing bolt. This way it will take longer to remove the system,
but will look much nicer without the strap.

Today I have had another ride on the bike and I must say everyone pays attention to
you or putting it another way, more like they all notice your presence. When you stop
and idle by the traffic lights, the system produces a low rumble, very similar to the
Ducati twin, making all windows move due to resonance, even car bodies are shaken by
this pulsating sound, but as you "take off", even though the sound is still bearable,
the swift change from low rumble to higher and more powerful sound scares the wits of
everyone around. I don't really like so many watchers, but I don't think I can do
anything about it. Now I will have to take more care as I ride past the cops. they do
not forgive......

I also have to go over the jetting and change the system to a 4 to 4 K&N filter. I
already all that is needed except time. We are starting two 500 MW power boilers here
in northern Spain and barely have time to breathe.

Best regards,

Charles ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )
