This is simply a question of whether an individual favors form or function.
If you had a chance to own a pipe that would give you and extra 20 ponies
but was butt ugly...would you buy it?
Conversely if you saw a beautiful work of exhaust art that reduced the bike
by 20 hp, would you buy it?
Most people are not single minded and look for some sort of balance, decent
looks and power. But some others will tend to favor one end of the spectrum
over another. I really look the likes of the Cobras but it would bug me to
no end to know that they are reducing power. Conversely while the looks of
my Hindle single can is okay it is not as nice as some of the dual systems
out there...but I am happy because of the weight loss and power gain... so I
guess I tend to lean a bit more towards function...Henry I would suspect
leans toward form.
but...if only we could figure a way to get the same power from the Cobras
; )
cheers, Terry
