Greetings. Just picked up a Mini III windshield for my Vmax but the parts
box didn't contain a "how to" sheet. Since the shop wants $50/hour to
install, and since it looks like an easy enough install (< 1 hour) , I
opted to do it myself. But for the life of me, I can't figure out how
windshield mounts attach to the bike. It looks like the windshield mounts
attach to the top set of clamps securing the bike's forks. But the bolt
which clamps the forks at this location isn't a philips head, nor is it a
flat head, nor an Allen wrench head -- in fact, it isn't anything, it's a
flat polished head. Is this the right location to attache the mounts and,
if so, how do I get that bolt out? Any info would be MUCH appreciated.
