Subject: Two Bros Racing dual oval slipons and Stage 7 Kit ( continuation )
Actual situation:
A).-Stage Seven Kit, 175 mains, air restrictors installed, soft springs,
drilled slides, needles in fourth position from top as Dynojet recommends.
B).-Two Bros Racing oval slip-ons (absolutely free 2 1/2", see through cans).
C).-K&N individual filters.
RESULT: Gutless engine from start to end.
Plug reading: Pearl white ceramic and white/grey rest (checked after 50 miles
along country roads and later on heavy traffic for 1/2 an hour till I got
home ).
My belief: bike running too lean.
Second test: change fourth to sixth position on the needles ( max fuel intake).
Rest absolutely the same. (a bit drastic, but I had to try)....
RESULT: Bad idle, cannot use choke since engine stalls. once on the road with
traffic, bike has a mid range flat between 3K to 5K, then clears and wham! the
bike goes once more like a rocket.
Plug reading: Too tired to check, but bet they are black due to too rich mid
range condition.
So, what Am I left with? Just the fifth position, but who can understand such a
big difference in behaviour between two notches on the needles? Surely that
cannot be right.
Any clues?
Best regards, Charles ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )
