Ninety-five percent of the time my Vmax reaches operating temperature by
running at least 30 minutes (or 10 miles).
Every blue moon, however, just like any other motorcycle owner out there,
there may times I can only ride for three or four miles (10 minutes), and I
know it does not reach operating temperature. This is not harmful to the
motor, is it, since I do achieve ideal operating temperature close to 100% of
the time?
I also use synthetic oil, which is supposed to handle short trips better than
petroleum-based oil.
Any opinions or experience is appreciated.
