I did a setup similar to Cory's. Let's call mine "The Poor Man 2 Setup." I
removed the reflector and used a piece of sheet metal to fabricate a
bracket. I bent the sheet metal into an "L" shape and cut it to fit over the
reflector bolt holes. This is sort of a triangular shape. I then drilled two
hole to match the reflector bolts and 2 holes to match the tail light studs.
The light fits between the grab rail and the fender. I left the fender on.
The sheet metal allows for a little movement to dampen road jolts that may
shock the bulb and cause premature burnout. I removed the black plastic tail
light housing and moved the license plate up an fastened it through the
bottom holes of the plate. The whole setup came out pretty clean but I don't
have any pics at the moment, Sorry.
The one problem I came a cross is that now the white light on the bottom of
the tail light doesn't shine on the license plate. In VA it's required to
have an illuminated license plate. I needed to install a lighted license
plate frame to pass inspection. Of course that's where I ended up spending
money. It was about $35 through a Dennis Kirk catalog.
Good luck
Bryan

Subject: Tail light re-locating
> Can anyone suggest a good tail light relocation setup. I am going to
remove the rear fender from my bike so I need to mount on the back of the
seat somehow. Any suggestions?
