Tonight I took a little ride in the country and upon returning to the
garage, I left the bike idling while I went in to open the door. When I
returned to park it in it's spot, it killed when I shifted it into
gear. I thought maybe it was too cold still(???), and needed to have a
little more idle speed to get into gear. Not the case. I tried
re-starting and each time the engine died as soon as the shift lever was
moved into gear. It was like the ignition system cut out all together.
Then, I turned the key off, expecting to push it in. I tried it again,
and it worked fine after the key was turned off and then returned to the
on position.
Has anybody ever experienced this before? Is there some switching
mechanism or something?
Thanks.
