It goes like this:
The SIGMA-SPORT digital speedos are the only ones I know that measure
accurate speeds up to 300Kph/180Mph.This is real speed always. Expect some
difference between SIGMA readings and stock speedo; +-20 Kph. They are made
for bicycles but work just fine on motorcycles.
This thing works like this (ignore if you already know):
There's the digital speedo, a wire, a sensor (magnetic switch) and a common
magnet.
You glue the magnet on the wheel, turn on the speedo, insert your front
wheel circumference (x) and for each revolution of the tire, the speedo
registers (x).
There's a drawback, which is tire growth (with speed) and tire wear.
The BC1200 features:
- 2 wheel sizes programmable (for use on two different bikes)
- speed readout uo to 300Kph/180Mph (updated on the second)
- Trip distance
- Clock
- Riding time (auto start/stop)
- Maximum speed (Time to see your REAL top speed)
- average speed
- Comparison (actual/average speed - This tells you if you are above/under
your average speed)
- 2 odometer logs (each up to 99.000Km/Miles)
- Total riding distance
- Cadence (This is only for bicycles)
- Total riding time
These are 12 functions (BC1200). The BC700 has only 7 functions and so on...
