Hey TC, yes the bike is running very well now. Since my carb adjustments
(with good ole Don Smith's help) I've experienced my front wheel leaving the
ground and rear wheel spinning a many time! Just one problem left...
I've got a small oil leak that I can't find the source(s). I got
underneath and cleaned everything off (that I could reach). Rode it 25 miles
so far and can't see any culprits. The shift shaft sounded good, as it was
covered in chunky, grimy oil. But nothing has come out of it since cleaning.
I thought it might be the middle gear cover, but can't see any signs after
cleaning either. All my oil builds up on the left frame tube next to/ behind
shifter and goes clear to the other side. I lost about 1/3 of a quart on my
1100 mile trip to Daytona. I refilled, and it went from top of glass to
middle in like 2-300 miles (3 weeks). I don't have any drips.
Do I just need to keep climbing under every few days to see something?
I'm going to replace my water pump, middle gear cover, and right case
gaskets soon. Already bought those and my head cover gaskets. If the shift
shaft leaks, I should have seen it by now, right? Any other gaskets to be
concerned about?
