Thanks for all the replies Mark, Don, and TC.
I'll have to check on that lift, my neck is killing me. I just took
another look. I cleaned around the copper washer/bolt better and will check
later. It seems like my main culprit is on the right side on the bottom of
the water pump housing. There is wet oily layer all under it and slightly up
(I think from the wind). I'm thinking it's just the gasket. Is there any
other possibilities near the water pump? When I replace the water pump
gasket, should I replace or clean anything particular in the housing?
Also, I got no responses last time from my "fine, white powder" buildup on
the frame (behind middle gear cover, right under the motor mount). I cleaned
it two days ago and a lot has built up since. Any ideas what it could be?
It only happened after I replaced the pickup coil. Did I forget to grease
something or forget a washer maybe when I removed the footpeg???? It covers
about 2-1/2 inches of the top of the frame tube.
Thanks again,
Howie
