Steve Detamore,
That message was for Steve Ruby as well ... and anyone else that might
be interested in combo tach/speedo units that wasn't aware of the
Stack site. SPA also has a site and has a lot more detail and "stuff"
than what is disclosed on the PDQ site ...
http://www.spa-uk.co.uk/design/instru.htm
I don't know if you can judge by Dave's installation ... he has the
whole command console that displays your pulse, tear duct humidity,
global positioning etc ... With all that stuff ... there are a lot of
interfaces to get sorted out ... and I am sure a lot more work to get
it operating the way you want ..... Getting the speedometer and tach,
(not to mention all the other options), in one of those 3 3/4 units,
(that would fit in the original speedometer cup), is very very
attractive ...... If not ... SPA has those little postage stamp
electronic speedometers, (digital readout only), with an odometer etc
that could still be located in the original tach location ... freeing
up the premiere space, (in front of your face), for a tach of you
choice etc ....... IMHO ... I don't think I can wait to fleece one of
these off of a crashed 2nd generation Vmax ...
regards,
campbell
