Steve, that's not true at all.

My Stack instrumentation has worked beautifully! The fuel function does not
work reliably not because of the Stack itself but because it is not
compatible with the antiquated stock V-Max fuel sending unit, and I will fix
that when I get a chance. It will then work and give the amount in the tank
when the sending unit is replaced. I have FULL instrumentation, water temp,
oil temp and pressure, possible lap time feature, rpms in gauge form, speed
in digital read out, and preset warning feature for oil temp, pressure,
water temp, as well as odometer and trip odometer. Even though I was told it
was not waterproof, it has been in torrential rain for 90 minutes without a
problem. It is one of the most admired and talked about features of the bike
to all who see and the few who have ridden it.

The ONLY drawback was the cost, BIG dollars when I got. Insane perhaps but I
wanted "different" and as much info as possible in a clear concise manner.
To my knowledge MaxZilla is the only V-Max in the US that has it. There is a
price to exclusivity, and one is the price, and two is troubleshooting minor
problems when going where few or none have gone before. I chose the Stack
instrumentation as one of the breakthrough and signature design elements of
my unique interpretation of the V-Max. It allowed the total elimination of
what I felt was woefully inadequate on the stock Max, and put the
instruments in a single centrally localized spot in the line of vision more
down the road, instead of off the road on the tank.

Come on Steve, you saw the bike...tell me you've ever seen a Max like the
Zilla, and that the Stack instrumentation didn't help set the tone for the
entire design.

Just for the record, it WORKS plain and simple and I wouldn't change the
decision to use it.
No animosity intended,
Dave
