I had a large windshield when I first purchased my Max. It's great for
blocking wind and keeping bugs out of your teeth. The bike was also much
more stable at 3 digits+ speeds than no shield. It was on the bike when I
got it. I used it on a 712 mile ride to bring the bike home to Portland
from San Francisco. It really helped keep the rain off of me from Lake
Shasta all the way to Portland.

It's bad for looking good. The first thing I did when I got home was to
remove it and install a factory smoked instrument cowl. It's not as
protective as the larger screen but in my opinion, it doesn't look as dumb.
The smaller screen does block some wind and does protect the speedo but only
works well when you have your helmet planted into your speedo while doing
much higher that legal speeds. The small screen also looks much better.

Hope that helps.
