Does anyone know what year Yamaha did away with the Vmax embossed side covers and switched to the side covers with the Vmax emblem firmly attached? I believe the newer covers were in production starting in 1987, but I'm not sure. I'm looking for a set of these older covers. I seen a set on a '86 which were polished with color matching paint in the emblem and they looked great. Thanks, Vmaxman
