Pasquale,
I put clear powder-coating on my scoops, but they weren't polished.
They had a brushed aluminum finish. They came out fine, much higher
gloss than the original, and the coating is very durable. However, make
sure the metal looks exactly right before you coat it, or any
imperfections will be "immortalized" in place by the coating.
