Not a stupid question at all. True, it'd have been more practical
to have the Vmax rims modified. But I *like* the Venture wheels.
I think they're some of the prettiest wheels I've seen. (and I
can't see them on my Venture, what with the bags and rotor covers)
So I now have not only the look I want, but it's unique- NOBODY else
has these wheels on a Vmax. (or any bike that can show the wheels)

So now my Vmax is a combination of five different Yamahas- The
Venture Royale rims, Maxim tach, Road Star headlight, Virago
gauge buckets and turn signal brackets, and of course, Vmax.
