Well watch out Jason ... there are plenty out there with some serious
RWHP .... I wish we could get engine blocks and aftermarket heads and
camshafts etc ... like they do ... That is one of the most attractive
reasons for having one ... I think you could pick up any catalog and
build a whole bike mail order. When there are "that many" out there
you get a lot of manufacturers behind the product and you can get
stuff really cheap. They can knock off polished rotors for $100 and
inverted forks for $500 .... If Japanese manufacturers ever want to
cash in on this then they need at least minimal standardization etc
... It is about time to see universal wheel hubs .. like ours .. but
imagine if it were a standard ... that every bike had ... so that
anyone could use a "universal" wheel ... etc ... There are several
areas where they could capitalize on this concept, (rotors, calipers
etc) .... Otherwise ... we will always be driving the '37 Morris Minor
... and it will cost big bucks to have parts made ...... IMHO ....
