Vmaxman,

Dont waste your time go replace the whole slave cylinder, the seals maybe bad 
but if that is the correct milage the channel that the piston rides in 
oblongs and creates tension on the clutch when trying to disingauge.  normal 
wear and common to vmaxs.  I did one this winter on my roommates 85 I think 
it was around $40.
