Jeff,
I thought those "all black" scoops were kinda cool myself, (I don't
think any factory scoops come "all" black), .. I saved a couple of the
photos to take a better look. I can't quite put my finger on it but I
suppose that somewhere in the back of my mind I am overwhelmingly
attracted to something like that as it is the most "anti-Mario look"
that you could hope to achieve ... save doing them in "flat" black ...
the pinnacle of anti-polish/chrome ........

Anyhow .. if you want to go for the "look" ... and "test" yourself ..
before actually having yours powder coated etc .. you could simply
paint yours, (recoverable), or buy a set of these neat gel-coated
black fiberglass babies from ...
http://www.geofrog.force9.co.uk/yamaha.htm ... they are only 69
British Thermo Bucks .. a little over a $100 USD .......... and if you
don't like them ... I will buy them from you ........... I always
wanted a set of fiberglass scoops ... ;>0
