I recently replaced my V max 1991 japanese motor with
a full power (hardly used ) canadian motor. When I
swapped the motor I had to use my starter switch
because the other bike's was trashed. The motor turns
over but it doesn't catch(if a direct connection from
the battery to the starter is done). The problem
seems to be that the connections in the wiring harness
from the 86 don't match my 1991. There is power
going into the starter switch but there is no power
from it (to the starter sylenoid). Does anyone know
how I can match up the old harness to the starter
switch? I can't find and English version wiring
diagram of the 1991 model over here(okinawa) If
anyone knows how to remedy this problem please tell
me. My bike took my friend and I 6 months to convert,
paint, and finish but this problem is more than my
skills can handle. thanx
