I have also installed a oil pressure gage.  I do not see a problem with air
getting into the line.  The air will compress with the pressure and will
give you the same reading.  The only difference it would be just alittle
slow in responding to changes in pressure depending on how much air was in
there.  I dought if you would ever notice it.
