Most of the time these vmax's have been nothing but a disappointment when it
comes to racing down the strip. Ever now and again I get to witness a great
race between a vmax and bikex. A few years back I saw a max beat a zx11 by a
100th and was very pleased. (Both bikes being somewhat equal at the time). Last
night at bandimere was the first time I have ever seen a somewhat stock vmax
run in the 10's. (10.88 @129.5). Congrats Phil. What was even better was the
head to head race vs a busa.

Vmax. - 1500cc Longrod special from pcw - 775 with rider (close enough).
Busa - 1300cc with Pipe? and sprocket change - 720 with rider (again close
enough)

Here is a converted asf formatted of the video that I took. You will note that
Phil was reading a book when he saw the light turn green.. :)

To view you will need windows media player.

As for the technical issues surrounding this engine I would estimate that we
would all make better HP with a real ignition system....
