FYI .. I guess I will mention this .. I don't really know why but
someone may be interested. Polyurethane is machinable .. I am sure you
have all seen it used for aftermarket bushings etc ... on automobiles
.. blah blah blah ... . Polyurethane rods are available for this
purpose from McMaster Carr and several other suppliers .....
http://www.mcmaster.com ...... just like aluminum rod etc .....
