I needed to dig up some of the tips that had been posted a week or so ago
on installing solid motor mounts, so I consulted the Archives for the first
time. Now I really understand why Paul & TC where bitching about non-tech
talk on this site! It took me better than half an hour to sort through the
garble of 'Thanks, Joe' s and 'Don't mention it Bill' s (not to mention
about 500 of my own wise-cracks) before getting to the messages I needed.
Would there be a way of encoding messages so that we could direct only
pertinent info to the Archives and still continue to be polite with each
other without filling them with our one-liners? (I, for one, ain't tankin
nobody for nuttin no more on this site.) I suppose the obvious answer would
be to send thank-you notes and personal comments directly to the author,
but then we'd never find out how old Don really is. :-) Jacques
