in what order are your nuts, Pauls washer, the rubber spacer, the retaining 
clip, and Sears washer in ??

I did the Furbur fix some time ago, without benefit of Paul's washer.  I 
retained the stock rubber washer, and retaining clip (both on top of the 
nuts, as in the original Furbur fix).  I then experienced the famous 
"klunk".  So meanwhile, I put an extra washer (from Sears) just under the 
crown nut (to remove the klunk-causing play).  I currently have no low speed 
tracking problems, no wobble, no clunking, and no weaves or wobbles in the 
sweeps, at least between 0 and 110 mph.  I was wondering if there is any 
mechanical reason NOT to retain this set-up, which seems to be working well.
