Phil,

At Lewistown Raceway, Lewistown, MT the track is 4100' elevation and the
typical weather conditions (barometric pressure, humidity, etc.) usually
made for about a 6000' days. With a stock motor except for Hindle 4-1,
Stage-1 jetting, K&N filter,airbox Y removed and dial-a-jet installed; a 6"
slick on an 18" wheel (shaft driven) and wheelie bars I was running
consistant 11.18 @ 122+ MPH in the 1/4 mile. At Dakota Raceway, Minot, ND
(1100' elevation) I ran the 1/8 mile in 7.00 flat at 100 MPH ! Obviously I
was running out of horsepower on the big end of the 1/4 mile track. That
bike is now back on the street where it belongs and I've just about
completed an '86 Max drag bike: chromoly frame, 74" wheelbase,10" prostock
slick, 1260 c.i. motor with Falicon crank, Venolia pistons, Carillo rods,
Fuegle blower injected with methanol... it should take care of that lack of
horsepower on the second 1/8th mile. I've been watching with interest your
runs at Denver. When you get that monster sorted out it is going to kick
ass!! I hope to get there and race next year. I will, by the way, be
attending the Mile High Nationals next month (spectator), might I see any
of you there?
