European versus US specs

Hello All

I am stationed here in Germany and I am getting ready to buy a V-MAX.  The
dealer is local so the bike is in Europe specs.  As far as I know I only
have to change the Speedo to turn the bike into US Specs.  Does anyone know
different or where I could verify?
