The major difference between the European and the US Max is the fact that the first
come with no V-boost thus limiting the power to 100 HP.
I'm sure you can get a Max full power if you ask for it (it is worth the trouble).
In England they had the 100 HP version for several years, but then they returned to
the full power version (and the clock is in miles!). Why don't you give it a try there.
In Spain the most stupid Yamaha rep. imports the 100 HP version even though there is
no power limit in this Country.
