I noticed when I moved my needles up a little (richer) that my exhaust
suddenly sounded a lot louder and raspier. From listening to others on
the list, I assume this means I'm now running too rich, and burning part
of the mixture in the exhaust pipe.

It may be subjective (more sound = more power?), but it seems to have
slightly more pep now. Is this likely? If I am running too rich, is
there more likelihood of damage, such as burnt valves?
