Hopefully this doesn't sound too odd, or even stupid. I've had my Vmax since
last November and am coming from being the proud owner of a '91 FZR1000. My
question is, after much reading of everyone's knowledge on the subject of
V-boost, isn't the idea of the V-boost the same idea as the EXUP system on my
FZR? Obviously, one works on the exhaust end and the other on the intake. It
appears to me that only Yamaha has ever offered such groundbreaking ideas to
give excellent all-around power from their powerplants trying not to
sacrifice anything, other than the extra weight of these systems. When I had
my FZR, I decided against a full system because I was too addicted to the
midrange surge the bike had. Now with my Vmax, I have my Stage 1 w/ the
V-boost open and am addicted to the low-end rush I get over having the
V-boost functioning. Basically, I love to haul @ss and have been seriously
thinking about stage 7, but all I still get is confused from everyone's
differing opinion. I'm learning more everyday and I thank you all for the
knowledge you give. Any and all comments are appreciated. Cheers.
