I just put in a manual fan switch and wanted a light to make sure that I did
not leave it on and so I could monitor the fan. I spent a fair amount of
time trying to find somewhere where to put a light that would look ok to no
avail. I then had a epiphany (he, he, I always wanted to say that). Anyway
I decided to just tap into one of the other lights that were already there
and just use diodes to seperate the circuits. The only one I wanted to use
was the turn signal light, but come to find out this is a special case since
the flow of trons changes direction depending on which turn signal you were
using, diodes would not work. Well I already had everything apart when I
noticed there was enough room in the square "chamber" that the light sits in
to add another small one it the corner. I had a small screw-in type light
and socket that I got years ago from Radio Shack. A small hole in the
corner and some silicone to lock it in and I was done. The light was too
bright by itself, especially at night so I added a 100ohm resistor so now
even when the fan is on I can still see the blinker light and the fan light
is not overly bright.
