Chris,
I had this problem. Here's what I did:
I disconnected the fuel line that runs from the tank to the fuel filter. I
then BLEW into the hose going to the gas tank. (take the gas cap off before
doing this) I reconnected the fuel line to the filter and turned the ignition
key on. I noticed the filter fill with gas very fast. I later came to the
conclusion that rust(or something) in the gas tank had clogged the fuel line.
I haven't had anymore problems with the bike cutting out.
Remember to start trouble shooting by using the process of elimination. start
with the easy stuff first and work your way up. This can save you lots of time
and MONEY.
