I have a ticking noise between 2500 and 3000 rpm. It sounds like a chain
rattle. You don't have to take the engine out. I'd never go back to that
dealer. If you look closely between the carbs and under, you'll see the one
in the back of the 1-3 cylinder bank. The other one is in back of 2 and 4
under the exhaust shield.

Kosy I am curious why you are gonna R&R the tensioner? By that I mean is it
noisy? I have a 2000 that needs it done and the dealer said the motor has to
come out of the bike and split the cases to get at it!
